Hugh Henry Appointed Director of The Environmental Science Western Field Station

On February 3, 2012 Louise Milligan, (Associate Dean, Administration) announced that Dr. Hugh Henry, Associate Professor, Department of Biology wasappointed as the Director of The Environmental Science Western Field Station for the period May 1, 2012 to June 30, 2015.
"Dr. Henry brings a wealth of experience of field and field station work to this role" said Milligan. "He is a plant and ecosystem ecologist who conducts most of his field research in the London area. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Biology at Western since 2004, and in this time he has devoted much of his energy to the establishment and maintenance of a large-scale field experiment to address the combined effects of climate warming and atmospheric nitrogen deposition on ecosystem processes. Prior to joining Western, he contributed to field experiments at the Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve at Stanford University, and the La Pérouse Bay field station near Churchill, Manitoba. He has also taught courses at the University of Toronto Koffler Scientific Reserve, and the Queen's University Biological Station."
