The Master's in Environment & Sustainability (MES) is an interdisciplinary, one-year, course-based program at Western University, which uses project-based learning to enhance the graduate student's skill-set, in preparation for a career in the environmental field. The summer co-op follows two intensive academic terms, and is a required part of the student’s degree.
Students can pursue a collaborative thesis-based Master's or PhD
program or a course-based Master's degree program in Environment and
Sustainability (MES). We have introduced a set of Environment and
Sustainability elective courses. The Interdisciplinary Topics in Environment and Sustainability
graduate-level series of courses will be offered to UWO graduate
students with the appropriate prerequisites, as determined by the
instructor.
The summer co-op is an important
part of the students learning, and provides them with the practical
knowledge to compliment their academic studies. Throughout the years,
students have been a part of some amazing projects to further
sustainability in businesses and in government.
