Here are some general GUIDELINES on
what to expect, but
remember, our academic counselling team is very busy and priorities can change
depending on the time of the academic year, so this is just a guideline:
DROP-IN COUNSELLING
- * Same-day academic
counselling
- See
our current drop-in counselling hours here
- Students
can meet with an academic counsellor for up to 15 minutes
- Waiting
involved during busy periods
- We
will likely ask you to do drop-in counselling if you:

- Sign in with the assistant academic
counsellor at the front desk – we are located in Western Science Centre, Room

APPOINTMENTS
- * Are booked in advance, (usually
about a week in advance)
- Students
can meet with a counsellor for up to 30 minutes
- We
may be able to book you an appointment if you:
- Are
on probation
- Have
been re-admitted after previously having been Required to Withdraw
- Are
looking for advice and have a complicated academic history, involving, for
example, transfer credits, failed and/or repeated courses, or have made major
faculty or module changes part-way through your academic career
