INDIRECT COST (OVERHEAD) ON RESEARCH ACTIVITY

The purpose of the following documents is to clarify the position of Western in regards to the recovery of indirect costs (overhead) on research activity.

• Indirect Costs (Overhead) On Sponsored Research
  The Office of the Vice-President (Research & International Relations) has established key principles with respect to the recovery and distribution of the indirect costs of sponsored research, sometimes also referred to as “overheads”.
  
  
• Application for Modification of Indirect Costs from Sponosored Research
  In exceptional circumstances modifications may be considered to the general indirect cost rules if mandated by a sponsor and/or approved by the VP Research & International Relations.
