Description:

The Canadian Pain Society in partnership with Pfizer Canada is pleased to offer the EARLY CAREER INVESTIGATOR PAIN RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAM. This award will provide operating funds for early career researchers who recently entered a faculty position at a Canadian institution (University or Health Centre). This program aims to support operating costs of research and allow early career investigators to conduct pilot or preliminary research that can be used as the basis for a tri-council grant submission.

Application Details: Two grants of $50,000 are available: one in basic science and the other in clinical science. The duration of these grants is for one year, although an additional one year extension is available upon request if more time is needed given the nature of the research.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
