Research Career Development Awards are available to otolaryngologists who hold full-time, part-time and contributed service medical school faculty appointments, and who have made a commitment to focus on patient-oriented research. Awards provide support for research career development for up to $40,000 of support over a one or two year period. Research training supported by this award may be related to any research questions relevant to the
specialty of otolaryngology - head and neck surgery, as long as it is demonstrated that the training will have a direct impact on the applicant?s ability to pursue his/her long-range research objectives. Proposals which aim to introduce new knowledge and methodology from other disciplines to research in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery are encouraged. |

Application Details: |
Otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons who hold full-time, part-time or contributed service medical
school faculty appointments and who have made a commitment to focus their research endeavors on
patient-oriented research may apply. Applications are in a similar format to the National Institutes of Health. All applications must be completed and submitted online through Proposal Central at https://proposalcentral.altum.com.
Only those who have submitted a successful letter of intent will be invited to submit a full application.INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET |
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
