Description: |
The PDCP aims to forge greater consensus and cooperation among various levels of government and other stakeholders such as public and private non-profit organizations, Indigenous governments, local non-governmental organizations, and national voluntary organizations through policy initiatives and activities that contribute to enhanced public safety and emergency management. The program supports: Communications/information exchange projects in priority areas that address public policy issues of strategic importance to the Public Safety Canada; Research projects driven by information and participation in cross-sectoral and inter-jurisdictional policy and legislative initiatives; and Projects which utilize innovative approaches and the acquisition of knowledge to develop training and skills development projects for communities and community-based organizations. |
