Applicants interested in requesting funding under the Workplace Innovation stream are required to submit an application using the application format provided on the WCB website for this program.

Application Details:

The RWIP makes available $1 million each year through two streams of funding: workplace-based innovation projects that lead to improvements in workplace health and safety, and foster successful rehabilitation and productive and safe return to meaningful work, and high quality scientific research on significant issues related to workers compensation. In general, each project may be a maximum of two years in duration for a maximum $100,000 for each year.

The WCB will not consider scientific research proposals unless a Notice of Intent had been submitted. Applicants are expected to use either the application for scientific research or the application for workplace innovation based on the subject matter and focus of their submission. An applicant is permitted to apply at the same time for both scientific research funding and workplace innovation project funding. Applications must be received by the WCB no later than 30 June 2011.
