Description: |
In order to help create and/or support units with the necessary concentrated expertise, Cancer Care Ontario will provide funding (up to $300,000 annually) to groups of investigators working together in one or more of CCO's thematic research areas. In order to facilitate the selection of a review panel, applicants will be required to submit a letter indicating their intent to apply for this program by June 30, 2010. The format of the letter should follow the template posted on the Research Division website. If submitted letters describe programs that do not appear to fit the aims of the program, applicants will be contacted and suggestions for modification made. |

Application Details: |
In order to facilitate the selection of a review panel, applicants will be required to submit a letter indicating their intent to apply for this program. Successful LOIs will be invited to submit full applications. This is an infrastructure funding program. As indicated on the LOI form we are looking for units that have the capacity or intent to develop innovative and high impact approaches to future challenges in cancer control. Accordingly, a criterion that will be considered in the review of final applications is the ability of the proposed unit to address issues related to CCO?s provincial mandate. Please send a PDF (electronic) copy of the completed LOI form and appended material via email before midnight on June 30, 2010 to connie.marano@cancercare.on.ca. NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
