Description:

INET and CIGI seek to create an environment nourished by open discourse and to empower the next generation of scholars with the necessary support to accelerate and advance new and important thinking on economic issues.

In this round, seek primarly to support research focused on four key themes of interest: Financial Instability & Macroeconomic Management; Political economy of Income and Wealth Distribution and Inequality Dynamics; Governance of the International Monetary & Financial Systems; Innovation

Application Details:

We encourage scholars worldwide, in economics as well as in related fields such as political science, sociology, anthropology, history and the physical sciences, to submit grant proposals.

Grant proposals are due by June 14, 2012. A research jury will review first- stage applications and in early August will issue invitations for those with the most promising proposals to submit complete applications by early September. Grants will be awarded by early November. Grant applications can be submitted via this website starting in mid-May.

INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
