The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) has designed the Research in Librarianship Grant to support new or established librarians, working in a research library or institution, who are actively engaged in research. The CARL Research in Librarianship Grant is intended to support projects involving structured, evidence-based research in libraries that proposes answers to real-world issues.

Please view the Agency guidelines for a list of identified research priorities. Relevant issues-based research about academic library practices need not necessarily be limited to what was identified in the survey, however, CARL?s intent for a set of national research priorities is to help identify projects of national or regional interest, which can prove useful in developing research partnerships between practitioners, educators and students.
