Description:

The Drummond Foundation invites Grant Applications from clinical investigators working in Canada who are interested in Aging related research and improving the quality of life of socially, mentally, or physically disadvantaged older adults and their families. The applicants are eligible if they are: - a new investigator (within 6 years of first university or clinical appointment), or - a mid-career or senior investigator clearly making a bridge to a new field

The Application process is composed of two phases: Phase 1: A Letter of Intent, submitted by May 07, 2018, will be evaluated. Investigators will be notified by June 30, 2018 as to their eligibility to submit a Grant Application. Phase 2: Eligible Grant Applications are then due no later than September 3, 2018 Please visit the sponsor's website for full submission details.

Application Details:

Applications will be judged on their scientific merit (quality of the research approach, originality, feasibility) and the potential impact of results. The Principal Investigator must have a University and/or Research Institute appointment to administer funds via a Canadian university-affiliated account.

Investigators interested in submitting an application should submit a Letter of Intent of 500 words by May 7, 2018. The Letter of Intent must include the following: - name of project at top of page - a concise summary of the project objectives and how they relate to Drummond Foundation objectives - names and university affiliations of Principal Investigator and associates - confirmation of Principal Investigator?s appointment to administer funds via a Canadian university-affiliated account -duration of study Curriculum vitae of Principal Investigator must be attached. The curriculum vitae does not form part of the 500-word count of the Letter of Intent. Letters of Intent must be submitted by email to office@drummondfoundation.ca

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
