Description:

ISTPCanada invites Canadian and Indian participants to submit proposals for cooperative research and development projects.

This Ontario (Canada)-India Call for Proposals (CFP) will be delivered by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India on the Indian side; and by International Science and Technology Partnership Canada (ISTPCanada), a non-governmental organization selected by the Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI), Government of Ontario on the Canadian side. These guidelines are specific to the Ontario (Canada)-India collaborative research and development projects submitted under the current call for proposal. ISTPCanada and DBT invite Canadian and Indian participants to submit proposals for cooperative research and development projects. Submission of an EOI is mandatory. Applicants interested in submitting a full proposal must submit an EOI before the due date (See the Call for Proposal for deadlines) to be eligible.

Application Details:

The guidelines address the issues that are relevant to innovation, commercialization and the successful execution of the project and future commercialization of the product. The collaborative R&D proposal process includes the submission of an EOI and a full proposal.

This Call invites companies, technology developers and academics from Ontario (Canada) and India to propose collaborative R&D projects for the joint development of innovative products or processes all areas of biotechnology, including life sciences and medical devices. They aim to stimulate innovative R&D projects (engaging small-to-medium-sized companies and/or larger, well established firms) that address a specific market need or challenge; demonstrate high commercial potential; and deliver benefit to all participants, and more broadly, to both regions. To apply to this Call, Canadian applicants must identify an Indian partner who is seeking support from DBT. INDIRECT COSTS OF 30% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
