Description: |
The Embedded Clinician Researcher Salary Award is designed to provide salary support for up to four years to clinician researchers working in a health system setting enabling them to conduct original research that is relevant and responsive to the health system where they are embedded and to contribute to generating a strong cadre of clinician researchers across the country that will play a role in transformative change and act as role models and mentors for a cadre of new health professional scientists. The maximum amount per award is $75,000 (including fringe benefits) for up to 4 years.
Applicants must secure partner contribution(s), including at least one from a health system partner organization, of $25,000 (cash) per annum towards salary costs over four years and $50,000 (cash or in-kind) per annum towards research costs over four years. |

The Nominated Principal Applicant must be an independent researcher and at the time of application, applicants must: Hold an active Canadian license to practice as a health professional (see ?Additional Information? section for examples of eligible health professionals, note this list is not exhaustive); Be an early or mid-career health services and policy researcher with up to 12 years of experience past their qualifying degree at the time of application. (see guidelines for full details)Your Application must be submitted using ResearchNet. Scan and upload the signed signature pages including the routing slip in the Print/Upload Signature Pages task in ResearchNet prior to submitting your application. |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
