Description: |
The Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) Research Grants seek to (a) attract scientists into careers addressing important research questions about breast cancer, (b) expand the skills and expertise of breast cancer researchers in training, and (c) position trainees for independent careers conducting breast cancer research that will directly affect breast cancer patients. By the date of full application submission, the FELLOW must be no more than: 3 years post-completion of his/her most recent clinical fellowship or 5 years post-completion of his/her most recent residency (for physicians), or 5 years post-completion of his/her most recent PhD. |

Application Details: |
The individual identified as the Principal Investigator(s) on the application must be the Mentor(s). Applicants must hold a full-time faculty appointment with an accredited institution and must currently conduct breast cancer research. The Fellow must have a doctoral degree, including MD, PhD, DrPH, DO or equivalent. The Fellow may not hold any current faculty appointments Komen has instituted a new, multi-step approach to application submission and review that includes: submission of pre-applications which are scientifically peer-reviewed to identify those Applicants to be invited to submit full applications; and by invitation only submission of full applications, which are scientifically peer-reviewed to order applications for funding based on review criteria. Komen?s research application process is managed online through Komen Grants Access. All applications must be submitted electronically through this online system at www.KomenGrantsAccess.org.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
