Description: |
Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) invites applications for investigator-initiated Translation Acceleration Grants (TAG). This request for applications (RFA) solicits proposals from groups studying novel therapeutics and treatment options for metastatic and castrate-resistant prostate cancer. Projects should be aimed at eliminating advanced disease from affected men and must have the potential to enter clinical trials within 5 years of the beginning of the funding period. Projects in this area may include, but are not limited to novel agents, immunotherapies, or combinatorial/multimodality therapies and the focus should be on validating an existing agent to treat advanced prostate cancer. The clinical validation of the therapeutic should be attainable through the period of study, and in each case a clear path to clinical application should be proposed. It is expected that a multidisciplinary approach will be required and each TAG2 application may consist of independent investigators based in multiple institutions with a lead Principal Investigator. PCC will only consider projects that are completely focused on prostate cancer |
