The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) is an applied health research organization with a focus on the development of knowledge and its implementation in order to reduce the impact of brain and spinal cord injuries through the reduction of these injuries. ONF seeks the development of innovative brain and spinal cord injury prevention research content and strategies which lead to social change and an improved culture of safety. The guidelines list examples of the type of research projects that would be of interest. The faculty members are not required to use these and may propose their own topics to address injury prevention relevant to traumatic brain or spinal cord injury. |

Application Details: |
The investigator must be employed by or affiliated with an Ontario University. The project must be directly related to injury prevention relevant to traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. The project must demonstrate clearly defined tasks and benefits to the student. The award will be made to the faculty member's sponsoring (host) organization in the member's name, and is intended as a salary for the intern. Call for Proposals must be submitted electronically from the ONF website. The deadline for receipt of electronic submissions is Friday January 13th, 2012 by 4:00 p.m. Information on the link to the electronic form is found on the ONF website at www.onf.org along with this Call for Proposals. NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
