The ?Young Investigator Grants? are intended for young investigator grantee(s) who are undertaking sports medicine research. AOSSM will issue awards in the amounts of up to $40,000, aimed at providing ?seed money,? or start-up funds, for pilot projects. |

Application Details: |
The principal investigator must be an orthopaedic surgeon who has graduated from an approved residency program or is a resident currently in an approved program. The goal of this grant is to help train new investigators with the assistance of an experienced supervisor rather than to help an experienced investigator complete an in-progress project.Download the application forms from the AOSSM website. Complete the forms off-line and combine into one Portable Document File (PDF). Some type of PDF-creation software is necessary to create the PDF. Once you have created the PDF, upload the file via the AOSSM grant submitter. |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
