Description: The CHAT Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program provides support for Canada?s most promising arrhythmia researchers at a pivotal time in their careers. The fellowships are also intended to secure a supply of highly qualified Canadians with leading edge scientific and research skills for Canadian industry, government and universities. Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program must be conducting research that is related to CANet?s strategic areas of focus (atrial fibrillation, syncope, sudden cardiac death).

Application Details: The CHAT Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program provides a stipend of $45,000/year for a maximum of two years which requires a 1:1 funding match ($22,500/year contribution from CANet, $22,500/year minimum match from an institution or organization). Institutions or organizations that provide more than the minimum matching requirement will only be matched by a maximum of $22,500/year from CANet. Applicants must be a member of CHAT and must have a sponsor/mentor that is a CANet Network Investigator. Eligible candidates include applicants who have received their PhD degree from either inside or outside of Canada, from a credible university/institution. Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a specialty related to CANet?s strategic areas of focus (atrial fibrillation, syncope, sudden cardiac death)
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
