Description:

The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Class Grant and Contribution Program to support Research, Awareness and Learning in Space Science and Technology is comprised of two components: Research and Awareness and Learning. Taken together, these components aim to support knowledge development and innovation in CSA areas of priorities while increasing the awareness and participation of Canadians in space-related disciplines and activities. The CSA offers grants and contributions through various sub-components comprised in both components.

The Awareness and Learning component provides financial support to individuals and organizations involved in initiatives targeting Canadian youth, students, physicians and educators to increase their awareness, knowledge, development and participation in space-related disciplines and/or activities and advanced educational programs. Projects supported under the Awareness and Learning Component should contribute to the achievement of the CSA Class Grant and Contribution Program's expected objectives and the Awareness and Learning component's strategic outcomes and, in addition, will be measured against the Awareness and Learning component's key performance measures.

Application Details:

To support the development of science and technology relevant to the priorities of the Canadian Space Agency; To foster the continuing development of a critical mass of researchers and highly qualified people in Canada in areas relevant to the priorities of the Canadian Space Agency; To support data-gathering, studies and research related to space; To increase awareness of Canadian space science and technology among Canadian youth and educators and their participation in related activities;

Applications are now processed on a first come first serve basis.

INDIRECT COSTS OF 20% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
