Description: |
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund has identified regulatory science as an important, underfunded area, and established an initiative, Innovation in Regulatory Science Awards (IRSA), to provide financial support to stimulate research efforts in this area. The goal of this initiative is to fund academic research on innovative approaches and technologies for assessing the safety and efficacy of new therapies; and, as a result, to promote regulatory policy decision based on state-of-the art science. |

Application Details: |
The application process consists of two phases: a preproposal followed by a full proposal invitation. Preproposal applicants selected by the Advisory Committee deemed to meet the goals of this initiative will be invited to submit full proposals. |
|
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
