Description:

The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute with funding support from the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI invites proposals for Collaborative Research Projects. Application can be made by any member of Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute either from India or Canada, but must include a partner in the other country who may not be necessarily from a member institution.

The projects should intend to promote awareness among students and the public in the areas of Environment Management, Economic development and Competitiveness, Trade, Democracy, Rule of Law, Human Rights; Managing Diversity, Energy, Public health, Poverty alleviation and Sustainable development, India ? Canada relations, Gender Equality etc.

Application Details:

The purpose would be to fill information gaps for policy makers and others influencing the policy-making process. Grant applicants should demonstrate their ability to bring innovative ideas to the program and how they plan to share their findings with stake holders and at the grass root level.

Applicants must submit the required materials electronically in a single file (in Rich Text (RTF) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format). Application must be sent electronically no later than Friday 25 February 2011. Incomplete applications will not be considered. NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
