Description:

Research grants may be used to employ assistants (technical or professional) or student trainees, to remunerate professional advisors, to purchase materials and supplies, and to support field travel costs related to research.

Rehab to support community based projects involving children or adults. The Grant provides support for physiotherapy research projects that advance rehabilitation at the community level, such as rehabilitation services to support the elderly remaining in their homes, facilitation of early discharge from acute care hospitals, or the prevention and management of chronic disease in the community. Awards are made annually for up to $5,000 each. The awards are seed funds for mainly pilot or feasibility projects. Preference will be given to applicants heading up community based projects in Ontario.

Application Details: Research projects must have a defined objective that is designed to further develop the art and science of physiotherapy.Applications for research grants must be received at the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada's offices by 18 January 2013 by 5pm on the current Application Form (applicants are responsible for making certain they are using current version of the application regulations and guidelines). Applicants must submit an electronic copy of the completed application and all attachments. All attachments or additional material should be submitted on a PDF copy of originals. Applications and attachments should be typed single spaced and minimum font size 11. Illustrations should be drawn with clean black lines.
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
