Description:

Research grants may be used to employ assistants (technical or professional) or student trainees, to remunerate professional advisors, to purchase materials and supplies, and to support field travel costs related to research.

The Community Rehab Physiotherapy Research Grant (CRPRG) was established in 2007 by Community Rehab to support community based projects involving children or adults. The Grant provides support for physiotherapy research projects that advance rehabilitation at the community level, such as rehabilitation services to support the elderly remaining in their homes, facilitate early discharge from acute care hospitals, or the prevention and management of chronic disease in the community. . Awards are made annually for up to $5,000 each. The awards are seed funds for mainly pilot or feasibility projects. Preference will be given to applicants heading up community based projects in Ontario.

Application Details:

Research projects must have a defined objective that is designed to further develop the art and science of physiotherapy.

Applications for research grants must be received at the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada's offices by February 18, 2011 on the current Application Form (applicants are responsible for making certain they are using current version of the application regulations and guidelines). Applicants must submit one hard copy and one soft copy of the completed application and all attachments.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
