The Ontario Thoracic Society (OTS) is the medical section of the Ontario Lung Association (OLA). On behalf of the OLA, the OTS administers a program to financially support approved research grants. Eligibility for GIA grants will be limited to investigators who hold less than $250,000 in operating grants as the Principal Investigator in the 2012-2013 funding year. Please register at www.ngr.myreviewroom.com by November 18, 2011. You are required to provide your name, institution, identify the type of research (clinical or basic science), the project title, and a maximum one page abstract. |

Application Details: |
Applications will be considered for research proposals that are directly relevant to human respiratory health problems. Please note that grants deemed outside the respiratory field will be eliminated from the selection process. In order to encourage young investigators, particular consideration will be given
to requests from investigators who have received their first faculty appointment
within the past seven years. ONE (1) electronic copy of the application and the appendices, in Word or PDF must be submitted to the Canadian Lung Association via www.ngr.myreviewroom.com by December 7, 2011 by 4:30pm Eastern Time. Please mail the original application to your provincial lung association: Ontario: Jeanne Castellanos, Ontario Thoracic Society, c/o Ontario Lung Association.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM. |
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
