Description: Spark Advocacy Grants are awarded in a competition that helps groups of individuals begin to spark action in their communities. It provides financial support to implement advocacy initiatives that increase access to physical activity and/or healthy food for children across the province. The goal of the fund is to ignite and catalyze change within Ontario's diverse communities.

Application Details: Completed applications must be submitted electronically at heartandstroke.ca/spark by midnight on the due date. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted. 2. Before you apply, please be sure that you have: a) Identified the specific problem in your community that presents a barrier to children?s access to physical activity and/or healthy food b) Decided on the change that needs to happen to address the problem c) Identified the decision-makers that can assist with making the change to address the problem d) Identified coalition partners that you will work with.
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
