NARSAD's Distinguished Investigator Award Program provides support for experienced investigators (full professor or equivalent) conducting neurobiological and behavioural research. Research must be relevant to schizophrenia, mood disorders or other serious mental illnesses including research with anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders or child and adolescent psychiatric disorders.

The NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Grant program is designed to stimulate the development of key personnel and resources, to facilitate the rapid initiation of research in innovative areas, and to enable investigators to create unique scientific opportunities.

Application Details:

The NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Award program is designed to stimulate the development of key personnel and resources, to facilitate the rapid initiation of research in innovative areas, and to enable investigators to create unique scientific opportunities. NARSAD seeks any novel and meritorious proposal relevant to the basic and clinical science of serious mental illness such as schizophrenia and affective disorders.

Applicants must be a full professor (or equivalent), and maintain peer reviewed competitively funded scientific programs;

INDIRECT COSTS OF 8% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET.

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
