Description:

The March of Dimes seeks applications requesting grant support for projects related to causes of prematurity. Research proposals of new paradigms based on strong conceptual frameworks are invited.

Only those invited to apply will be able to submit their full application to this program. The intent is to provide new insights into the large, and increasing proportion of preterm deliveries in which the cause (and thus the means of prevention) remains elusive. The proposals need to consider especially, but not be limited to, genetics, gene-environment interactions, and animal models. Novel approaches are encouraged.

Application Details:

These grants do not cover the recipient's or other faculty salaries, but do provide salary support for technical help. The grants are awarded for a three-year period.

INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
