Description: |
The purpose of the New Directions Research Program is to stimulate the sustainable growth and competitiveness of Ontario?s agri-food sector through investment in innovative and high quality research in partnership with industry, rural communities/organizations, other levels of government and research institutions. The New Directions uses a two-stage application process. Stage One involves a Letter of Intent submission where researchers must outline their research proposal. Letters of Intent are assessed based on established review criteria. Successful applicants in Stage One will be invited to submit a full proposal (Stage Two), and will be forwarded the full proposal template and deadline for submission. |

Application Details: |
A Call for Proposals is issued on an annual basis. The application procedure involves a two stage process which includes submission of a letter of intent followed by a full proposal. The applicant is required to submit: an original, signed, unbound paper copy of the Letter of Intent form, 8 stapled, double sided paper copies, an electronic copy on CD or a memory stick. NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
