Description: |
Biomedical Research Grants provide financial support to medical researchers to assist in defraying the operating costs of research, which may include the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment and the payment of laboratory assistants. The Biomedical Research Grants Guidelines 2016 Competition, supersede all previous Kidney Foundation of Canada Biomedical Research Grants Guidelines. Applicants should always refer to the latest version. The Kidney Foundation of Canada may, without notice, alter the programs or terms of a grant. Any major changes will be announced immediately on the KFOC website at www.kidney.ca. The Kidney Foundation of Canada reserves the right to interpret these guidelines and policies. Applicants should contact the Director, National Research Programs, or the Coordinator, Research Grants and Awards as required. |

Please ensure that you are using the current Kidney Foundation of Canada Biomedical Research Grant forms as no other form will be accepted for this competition.
The research proposal, including ALL figures, charts, photographs, legends and tables must be a MAXIMUM of 10 pages. (NB: This is a change from previous applications). The application deadline has changed to a two stage process: A mandatory registration phase with a deadline of September 01, 2015, A full application phase with a deadline of October 01, 2015.
The page limit has been reduced to a maximum of 10 pages (including ALL figures, charts, photographs, legends and tables).
The applicant must submit a completed registration form by email to elisabeth.fowler@kidney.ca no later than September 01 by 11:59 EST.
The applicant must submit a PDF copy of the full application (including all addenda and signatures) by email to chris.marquis@kidney.ca no later than October 01 by 11:59 pm EST.
Applications can only be submitted by email.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
