Description:

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada invites applications for funding novel or innovative approaches to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research. This grant is intended to stimulate and support research which may not be encompassed within the boundaries of traditional medical research. Research proposals must conform to sound principles of research and may aim to collect pilot data for follow-on application(s). The Foundation seeks mission relevance and excellence as well as innovation.

Successful applicants must be members of the CCFC IBD Research Institute.

Application Details:

The Principal Investigator can be a postdoctoral fellow or someone with a faculty or equivalent appointment at the institution. There can be only one Principal Investigator for each proposal. The applicant institution must be a nonprofit, charitable institution, such as a university, hospital or research organization. Applications are accepted from institutions within Canada only.

Please submit one original copy with signatures, one photocopy and one electronic copy (pdf format). All applications must complete all sections included in the pdf application form which follows the instructions listed in the guidelines.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
