Janus Research Grants support academic and community-based, family physician, CFPC members who are in active practice to carry out research projects that meet the changing needs of their patients and communities in Canada. Resident or student research projects are not eligible. Two categories of Janus Research Grants are offered to CFPC member researchers: 1. Janus Research Grants for novice researchers: up to $5,000 each. 2. Janus Research Grants for experienced researchers: up to $10,000 each. |

Application Details: |
The Janus Grants support innovative programs and projects based on the four principles of family medicine which state: The family physician must be a skilled clinician. The doctor-patient relationship is central to the role of the family physician. Family medicine is a community-based discipline. The family physician is a resource to a defined practice population. Primary investigator must be a: CFPC member in good standing; Family physician in active practice; Academic or community-based. Applications must reach the CFPC national office by March 1, 2012.INDIRECT COSTS MUST NOT BE LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
