Description:

The objective of the CBCF National Research Grant Program - Research Project Grant is to support breast cancer research in Canada that demonstrates scientific excellence, relevance, and innovation and that has the potential to achieve a significant impact on breast cancer. In order to address research needs across the breast cancer continuum, the Foundation has established two broad areas of focus: basic and pre-clinical research; and clinical/evaluative research. Each broad focus area will have its own grant peer review panel. The percentage, number and monetary value of projects funded in each focus area may vary, based upon the number and quality of project proposals received.

Individual Research Project Grants may request funding for up to three years. Funding for each project may not exceed $150,000 per year and $450,000 in total. Please refer to sponsor guidelines for all requirements

This funding opportunity consists of two phases: Letter of Intent and Full Application. Full Applications will only be accepted from applicants who are successful at the LOI stage.

Full Applications will only be accepted from applicants who are successful at the LOI stage. All Full Applications must be submitted in English using CBCF's online WebGrants system. Applications must be finalized and submitted by 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), Thursday, December 15th, 2016.

INDIRECT COSTS MUST NOT BE LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
