Description:

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to reaching every Canadian affected by a brain tumour through support, education, information, and research. The program supports scientific investigations being conducted in Canada into the cause, behaviour and treatment of brain tumours. Investigations focused on the mechanisms of brain tumour generation and growth, novel treatments, and on quality of life are of great interest. However, any proposal of scientific merit will be considered.

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canda is seeking outstanding young researchers conducting quality brain tumour research. All such proposals will be given serious consideration, including pediatric brain tumour research and quality of life research. Additionally, we are interested in receiving innovative research proposals -- those that incorporate novel or original concepts that have the potential to make a difference.

Application Details:

Proposals that receive funding include research that involves any and/or all of the following: The development of new concepts; Patient-oriented research such as clinical trials, epidemiological studies, quality of life studies, outcomes, health services research; Pre-clinical research evaluating the therapeutic potential of recent discoveries in the basic mechanisms of either brain tumour pathogenesis or experimental therapeutics. Innovative research proposals such as those that incorporate novel or original concepts that have the potential to make a difference are also considered. Applications for grants up to $25,000.00 will be considered.

Grant applications must be submitted by April 30, 2015. The selection process and approval will take place shortly after and the results will be communicated to all applicants by end of June 2015.
