Description: |
The vision of the Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program is to improve quality of life by decreasing the impact of cancer on service members, their families, and the American public. The PRCRP Career Development Award supports independent, early-career investigators to conduct impactful research with the mentorship of an experienced cancer researcher (i.e., the Designated Mentor) as an opportunity to obtain the funding, guidance, and experience necessary for productive, independent careers at the forefront of cancer research. This award supports impactful research projects with an emphasis on discovery.
The PI must be an independent, early-career investigator within 10 years after completion of his/her terminal degree by the time of the application submission deadline (excluding time spent in residency or on family medical leave). |

Application Details: |
Application submission is a two-step process requiring both (1) pre-application submission through eBRAP (https://eBRAP.org/) and (2) application submission through Grants.gov (http://www.grants.gov/).
Full application is by invitation only. Applications will not be accepted unless the PI has received notification of invitation.
The application process should be started early on Grants.gov to avoid missing deadlines.
Each application submission must include the completed Grants.gov application package for this Program Announcement/Funding Opportunity. The Grants.gov application package is submitted by the Authorized Organizational Representative through the Grants.gov portal (http://www.grants.gov/).F&A RATE OF 42.4% APPLIED TO SALARIES ONLY |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
