Description:

The ASRP provides grants and awards to support Canadian studies that promise new insights into causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Postdoctoral Awards are for graduates with a PhD or MD who wish to gain additional research experience, preferably in an established research environment that is not the one in which they gained their PhD or MD.

Applications are evaluated on the basis of scientific merit, novelty and their relevance to Alzheimer?s disease and other dementias. However, also taken into account will be the quality of the Lay Summary and the description of how the anticipated findings could influence other research in the field.

Application Details:

PhD postdoctoral applicants must be within 12 months of obtaining their PhD degree at the time of the application deadline. The value of postdoctoral fellowships is $41,500/year for PhDs and $51,500/year for MDs. These fellowship awards include a $2,500/year research allowance. see Sponsor guidelines for full details.
