Description: |
Grants are awarded at two levels: $25K for one year and up to $160K for 2 years. Each application is evaluated on scientific merit, relevance of research on the control of the epidemic or benefit to patients with AIDS, innovation to Canada and globally. Persons eligible for a grant must be Canadian citizens or have Landed Immigrant status, reside in Canada, and the major component of their research must be carried out in or directed from a Canadian site which is a not-for-profit institution or organization such as a hospital, institute or university (sponsoring institution). Funding is set aside for the development and evaluation of education programs, and for research on ethical and other applications of measures that might be proposed for the protection of public health. |

Research grants are awarded in the basic sciences, clinical, epidemiological and psycho-social areas related to: fundamental and applied research; education and prevention; psycho-social; community research and care Applications for grants must be received online no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on the deadline date specified in the instructions. Applications received late, unsigned, or exceeding the budget or page limitations will not be accepted. Applications will only be received online through Web Cargo.

Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
