Description: |
The internship work plan and expected outcomes are to be jointly developed by the university and a partner organization (e.g. national or local government, civil society organization, university, NGO, etc.) in a developing country. The 2010 Students for Development (SFD) program supports senior-level university students (third and fourth-year undergraduates through to PhD students) to participate in internships for a minimum of three months in developing countries. Internships must be aligned with one or more of CIDA?s three new priority themes, namely food security, children and youth, and sustainable economic growth. |

Application Details: |
The nature of internships can vary. Visit AUCC's Students for Development web page at www.aucc.ca/sfd for more information. Only international liaison officers (ILOs) can submit internship proposals to this program. Students are NOT allowed to submit proposals directly to AUCC. The deadline for submitting proposals for the second round of summer internships and for fall internships will be 5:00pm (EST), Monday, May 10, 2010. The completed application form must be sent to the attention of Chalanne Matheson by e-mail at
cmatheson@aucc.ca or by fax to (613) 563-9745 by the appropriate deadline (see below). Note that
AUCC?s maximum capacity for e-mails and attachments is 4MB. For larger files you may want to
send files via www.transferbigfiles.comINDIRECT COSTS OF $500 WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
