Description: |
The FCRF was created on July 27, 2000 to encourage and develop exchanges of excellence between France and Canada in the fields of research and postsecondary education. The selection process will focus, among other things, on the scientific quality and originality of the project, on the competence and complementarity of the applicant teams, the involvement of younger individuals (doctoral or post-doctoral students, faculty, researchers, etc.).
Only new projects will be taken into consideration: applications for renewals or extensions cannot be accepted. ATTENTION: no proposal will be accepted from a university unless it has been submitted to the Embassy of France in Canada.
Proposals received during the application period will be submitted to the Consortium for preselection (each institution will preselect 3 proposals).
The teams whose proposals has been preselected will be directly asked for a supplementary detailed information.
A scientific evaluation of the proposals will be conducted by the two countries; the Executive Committee of the Fund will then decide on the final list of selected projects.
The coordinators of the projects selected for the 2010 Call for Proposals will receive an official notification towards the end of May. |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
