These awards provide an opportunity for promising individuals to begin the process of becoming future independent investigators in the field of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

This Request for Applications (RFA) is intended to raise the profile of quality of life research and career development in the field of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and to increase the number of research training opportunities in this field in affiliation with one of ORC's coalition partners.

Application Details:

Supervisors may not sponsor more than one Doctoral and one Post-Doctoral trainee in the same competition. Supervisors must provide a letter of support for the candidate.

Doctoral Trainees: $20,530/yr; PhDs: $40,500/year; MDs: $50K/yr. Applicants for an award in this partnership program must: receive ORC sponsorship prior to submitting their application to the ASRP; be working on, or plan to work on, Alzheimer's disease or related dementias topics; meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Alzheimer Society Research Program's Application Guidelines. To apply, applicants must fill out the Application for Training Award form and indicate on the cover page that they are applying for the ORC ? ASC Training Award for Research in Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias. A letter from an ORC partner Institute must be included with the application form acknowledging that ORC sponsorship has been attained.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM.

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
