Fellowship provide support for highly qualified candidates at the post-PhD or post-health professional degree stages to add to their experience by engaging in health research either in Canada or abroad This program provide recognition and funding to academic researchers early in their career and to provide a reliable supply of highly skilled and qualified researchers. Funds are available for applications in all areas of research that address any important health problem or issue through the "200910MFE" competition of the Fellowship: 2009-2010 funding opportunity. |

Application Details: |
Applications will be accepted in all areas of health research. Candidate must hold, or be completing a PhD or a health professional degree. PRIORITYANNOUNCEMENT FOR SPECIFIC RESEARCH AREA AVAILABLE ON CIHR WEBSITE. Applicants to the October competition are not eligible to apply to the following February competition.At the time of application, a candidate must hold, or be completing a PhD or a health professional degree.

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
