Description: |
The HSF offers funds to support the direct costs for projects in the area of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular research. These funds may include lab supplies, technicians and some equipment. Support for projects across the spectrum of basic science to applied research is available for up to five years within Ontario. |

Application Details: |
Research is supported across the four health research themes: basic biomedical, clinical, health services and systems, population health.
Applications for Grants-in-Aid must be received in their complete form by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) no later than 16:00 (EDT) September 1 of each year.
If the deadline falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, HSFC must receive the application no later than 16:00 (EDT) on the previous Friday. Applications proposing partnered funding require a LOI by July 15th. Strict adherence to the requirements for the preparation of applications is required. Requested budgets must be clearly detailed and well justified. All applicants are strongly cautioned to carefully read and follow the instructions and requirements outlined in the ?Guidelines for Applicants? and the Check-list page of the application form.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM |

NOTE: Letters of Intent and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed RDAF form (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean signatures). Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. |
