It is a responsibility of Fellows to nominate candidates for Society medals and awards. A letter of invitation to do so is sent yearly to all Fellows before September 1. It lists the medals and distinctions for which nominations are sought that year and it serves as a reminder that nominations should be sent to the Society Secretariat not to committee members, and received in Ottawa before December 1 in order to be considered by the appropriate selection committee.
Twenty Society awards are offered on an annual or biennial basis and consist of either medals or scrolls, some of them with cash prizes. Since this is a non-monetary award.
Indirect costs are not supported by this program.
Nominated applications to this award will be internally supported and reviewed through a subcommittee of the University Research Board. Applications should be vetted through your Faculty Dean's Office.
Nominations and Full Applications are to be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional signatures, and are to be accompanied by a completed ROLA Proposal. Requests for Institutional signatures should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
