President's Message

The University of Western Ontario is a place of discovery and intellectual adventure. We attract outstanding students and faculty from across Canada and around the world who come to Western because they want the best education possible. They know that Western, above all, has a tradition of fostering an atmosphere of discovery, inquiry and personal and academic development.
 
At its heart, a university is about people – our contribution to teaching, research and society is determined by the people who work and study here. We are enormously proud of the outstanding faculty, staff and students who have built a great university at Western during the past 12 decades.
