The Body Politic was Canada's leading gay liberation periodical of the 1970s and 80s. For over 16 years, this paper chronicled and provided insightful, dynamic and controversial commentary on issues impacting the homosexual community on a local, national, and international level. This site is dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the Body Politic by capturing and providing access to some of the paper's striking images, important content and essential context.
