The Campus Community Police Service hosted two assessors from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Agencies, (IACLEA) from April 24 to 27. During that time, the assessors reviewed over 200 standards in relation to Campus Police operations and administration. They also conducted physical inspections of CCPS resources and operations. These inspections included a tour of Western and its affiliates. Several hours were spent interviewing CCPS clients and stakeholders. Upon the conclusion of the process, CCPS came through the assessment, in their words, “with flying colors”. Campus Police will formally receive the accreditation certificate in June 2016. The accreditation period is 4 years. The CCPS Accreditation Manager, Sgt. Bob McCormick, has already begun preparing for the next assessment. Congratulations to all CCPS staff!!
