Dr. Joaquim Madrenas

Dr. Madrenas studies the regulation of T cell activation, a key step in the development of immunity, and has made significant contributions to the field of Immunology as illustrated by his many publications in top journals ( Science, Immunity, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science , etc). For his research, he has received numerous awards including a Kidney Foundation of Canada Scholarship Award, a Canada Foundation for Innovation Researcher Award, a Premier's Research Excellence Award, a Canada Research Chair in Transplantation and Immunobiology, an Ontario Distinguished Researcher Award, and a UWO Dean's Award of Excellence in Research.

 

Dr Madrenas completed his OGIRC-related research in 2011, and is no longer active with the project.
