Traffic on the property of The University of Western Ontario is regulated pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario through the University of Western Ontario Act. Rules of the road are the same as elsewhere in the province of Ontario.
Enforcement of traffic regulations is the responsibility of Campus Community Police Service who are sworn police officers and carry the same authority as other police officers in the province of Ontario.
Failure to comply with the regulations may result in the application of a set fine, in most cases of $45.00. See the Summary of the University of Western Ontario Traffic Infractions and associated charges for a more detailed listing.
Persons charged with traffic offenses may appeal the fine and/or suspension resulting from the charge. The appeal process is outlined on the reverse of the Violation Notice.
If you would like more information regarding the regulations, their enforcement or regarding payments and appeals, contact Campus Community Police Services, Room 57, Stevenson-Lawson Building.
