The University of Western Ontario supports the physically challenged. Members of the University Community with long term or temporary physical disabilities may apply for access to all areas designated with the recognized international symbol. Disabled permit parkers are also granted access to all metered areas on campus.
Option 1: Complete the required application form available from Parking Services, Room 4150, Support Services Building (in person). You will be required to produce vehicle registration, Western ID and your Ontario Ministry of Transportation Disabled permit.
Option 2: Complete the required application form via the internet at http://www.uwo.ca/parking/application_prereq_e.html (select appropriate status). You will be required to record on the application form, your Ontario Ministry of Transportation Disabled Parking Permit number and your employee/student ID. We may request a faxed copy of your vehicle registration before processing to verify vehicle information.
Rates charged are equivalent to those which apply in Perimeter Non-Reserved areas for the same time period.
Display your U.W.O. Disabled and your Ministry Disabled parking permits together in your vehicle windshield. You may park at no further charge in any University Disabled or metered space. Do not park in spaces marked "Reserved".
Core, Perimeter and Undergraduate permit holders who require temporary disabled parking due to accident, injury, surgery, or similar occurrence may apply for disabled access on a temporary basis. Faculty/Staff please contact Rehab Services, students, please contact Services for Students with Disabilities. Temporary permits are issued for a period of eight weeks or less.
