If you are a Faculty or Staff member who wishes to park your vehicle on campus, your most ecomonical option is a valid campus
permit. At Western, faculty and staff are eligible to obtain a parking permit for any Campus Core (orange) or Perimeter
(grey) lots. Click to view campus map.
All permits are issued for a period of (up to twelve) months, (September 1 to August 31).
Reserved Parking: A limited number of Reserved spaces in Core or Perimeter Lots are available to Staff and Faculty
requiring to park in a specific lot every day. This guarantees the permit holder a parking space in the specific lot
chosen by the permit holder. Parking in a Reserved Section is authorized only for the vehicle(s) for which the
Reserved Permit has been issued. Reserved permits are also valid in the Non-Reserved sections of any other lot within the same
zone (orange, grey, or green).
Holders of Reserved permits may park in any space within the reserved section of their selected lot. Reserved permits are not oversubscribed.
Non Reserved: Spaces are available on a first come first served basis. Non-Reserved permit holders are
guaranteed a spot within the zone (orange, grey, or green) of the permit they purchase. The Non-Reserved permit, however,
does NOT guarantee a parking space in a specific lot. With the Non-Reserved
permit, you may have to spend time looking for a parking space and you may only be able to find a parking space in a lot which
is further away.
If you are a student registered in a Graduate (MA, PhD or other authorized Graduate degree) and wish to park your vehicle on campus you will need to
purchase a permit. Graduate Students at Western are eligible to obtain a parking permit for the Perimeter (grey) lots. Perimeter Non Reserved permits are valid in the
Non-Reserved sections of any other lot within the same zone (grey or green)
Please see the Undergraduate Student Parking Information page.
Commercial permits are available to employees of commercial companies who conduct business on campus.
The commercial permit entitles the user to access any of the non-reserved spaces in the core and visitor parking lots, unlimited time at any meter along with 30 minute loading zone privileges.
Permits are sold in groups of three with the understanding that only one vehicle is parked on campus at any one time. The first permit is billed at the full monthly rate and the other two permits are issued at no charge. A transponder deposit is required for all three permits.
